SPITCHWICK

They weave in and out of each other

like the river, around rocks and deep pools

above a dart of insects

below a scurry of tiddlers

explore the light, darkness

and their depths

Here a rush, a stand

a conflict of currents

before the compromise of water merging

As the Weburn meets the Dart

they tumble into each other

flow towards the inevitable ocean.
